there is another formmail.pl version that does the same as formmail.php

can anyone tell me which is more secure ? this version is quite good better than the standard formmail,

I was thinking since many people are having difficulty validating email with formmail.php, this version of formmail.pl does it and it also hides the email recipient like formmail.php

is cgi always better to use than php ? php seems faster, i find both the formmail.pl and formmail.php almost the same except formmail.php doesn't validate email format
