#055: XML Sitemap

Module Link: http://drupal.org/project/xmlsitemap

The XML Sitemap module allows you to create a sitemap for search engines in an automated manor and then submit them to the search engines.

  • Who: Everybody who has a public facing Drupal site should use this module
  • When: Use this module when you have public menus, nodes, taxonomies, etc and you want to be sure that they are listed in the search engines.
  • Where: Most of the settings can be found in /admin/settings/xmlsitemap but be sure to check out your content types for inclusion/exclusion and priority.
  • Why: Lets face it, without the search engines nobody would know your site about Otters Gone Wild. This module creates the XML that helps the search engines find your content and find it quickly after it has been updated.

You are missing some Flash content that should appear here! Perhaps your browser cannot display it, or maybe it did not initialize correctly.
